Co-Defendant received 10-year prison sentence for possessing child pornography
DUBLIN, Georgia: A McRae, Georgia man and woman have been sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to child sexual abuse charges.
The sentence was imposed by U.S. District Court Judge Dudley H. Bowen and announced by Margaret E. “Meg” Heap, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Georgia.
Noah Zackery Cason, 25, of McRae, Georgia, was sentenced to 240 months in prison and a $2,500 fine followed by 15 years of supervised release after pleading guilty to Transportation of a Minor. Cason was also ordered to pay an assessment in the amount of $100 to the Amy, Vicky, and Andy Child Pornography Assistance Fund. Cason must register as a sex offender upon completion of his prison sentence.
Cason’s co-defendant, Alexandra McLain, 26, of McRae, was sentenced to 120 months in prison and a $2,000 fine followed by 10 years of supervised release after pleading guilty to Possession of Child Pornography. McLain was also ordered to pay an assessment in the amount of $100 to the Amy, Vicky, and Andy Child Pornography Assistance Fund. McLain must register as a sex offender upon completion of her prison sentence.
There is no parole in the federal system.
As described in court documents and testimony, In November 2024, Cason traveled to Oklahoma to pick up and transport a minor child to his residence in McRae. The guardian of the minor child filed a missing person report and investigators determined that the defendants were the perpetrators through online activity on apps, including Snapchat and WhatsApp.
While travelling to Georgia, Cason engaged in sexual acts with the minor victim during a stop in Alabama. Upon returning to their residence, Cason engaged in sex acts with the minor victim and recorded the abuse, with McLain’s knowledge and encouragement. McLain was also present during several of the sexual assaults. Searches of the defendants’ electronic devices contained videos and images depicting Cason participating in sexual activity with the minor victim.
With the use of license plate readers, investigators confirmed the defendant’s vehicle had traveled along a route consistent with travel to and from Oklahoma and Georgia. Investigators tracked the defendants to their residence and initially contacted Cason who denied knowing the minor victim or of her whereabouts. After further questioning, Cason admitted to transporting the victim from Oklahoma to Georgia and to having sexual contact.
“These defendants preyed on a child’s vulnerabilities, and their monstrous actions have created irreparable harm,” said U.S. Attorney Heap. “This office has an unyielding commitment to protect children and serve justice for the victims and their families.”
