Component Contacts, Pre-Interview Submissions (Honors Program & Summer Law Intern Program) and Honors Program Interview Locations

2017-2018

Pre-Interview Submissions:  (Honors Program and Summer Law Intern Program).  The components listed below request writing samples, resumes, or transcripts from Honors Program interview candidates and Summer Law Intern Program (SLIP) candidates selected for consideration for employment.  Candidates should comply with the submission requirements listed for each component that selected them, ensuring they are following directions for the Honors Program or SLIP, as appropriate, as guidance differs.  Components reserve the right to withdraw interview invitations if submissions are not received by the specified deadline.  All questions relating to the writing sample or other submissions should be directed to the Contact listed for the specific component.  

Honors Program Interview Locations: Specific interview locations for each component and directions are listed below.  Interview dates and times will be provided via email from the Office of Attorney Recruitment and Management (OARM).  For information about interview scheduling and travel, visit Honors Program Interviews.   We understand that many candidates will be traveling with very tight schedules: you are welcome to take your luggage to your interview but be prepared to allow a few minutes extra time to clear security prior to building access.

  • Directions to Interview Locations:  Most interview sites in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area are accessible via Metrorail.  The directions provided by the components identify the nearest Metro station.  For interative maps, fare calculators, and schedules, visit www.wmata.com.   Components interviewing in the Washington, D.C. area in locations not accessible via Metrorail and components interviewing in other U.S. cities have provided alternative directions. 

Robert F. Kennedy (Main Justice) Building:  The RFK (Main Justice) building is at 950 Pennsylvania Avenue N.W., Washington, D.C.  If you are interviewing there, use the Visitor's Entrance on Constitution Avenue between 9th and 10th Streets.  The nearest Metrorail stations are Archives/Navy Memoria    (Green/Yellow Lines located on Pennsylvania Avenue (two blocks from the Constitution Avenue entrance) and Federal Triangle (Blue/Orange Lines) located on 12th Street (two and one-half blocks from the Constitution Avenue entrance.  Not all components interview in the RFK building.  Candidates should review the information posted by each interviewing component for guidance.
