Interview Information

Honors Program interviews will be virtual this year. Applicants should follow instructions from the Office of Attorney Recruitment and Management (OARM) to schedule their interviews. The Office of Legislative Affairs will send candidates a link to participate in the interview in advance of the scheduled time.

Pre-Interview Submissions

The Office of Legislative Affairs requests a writing sample.

  • Submission Deadline: As soon as possible but no later than five business days following notification of selection for an interview.
  • Format: Adobe Acrobat PDF
  • Type of Writing Sample:

Legal analysis writing sample not to exceed 10 pages in length.  Please do not submit work that has been heavily edited by others.  Extracts from an article, brief, or memorandum are acceptable.  If the work was authored by more than one person, the candidate should highlight the portions that the candidate authored. If the sample is an extract from a longer work, a short summary for context at the start of the sample is permissible.

The email subject line should be:  Honors Program Writing Sample - Your Name
