Interview Information

The USAO, District of South Carolina, will contact candidates directly to schedule virtual or telephonic interviews.  

Pre-Interview Submissions

The District of South Carolina requests a writing sample and an updated resume. 

• Submission Deadline: As soon as possible but not later than 5 days after notification of selection for an interview.
• Format: Adobe Acrobat (PDF)
• Type of Writing Sample:

  • One writing sample only not to exceed ten pages. The sample should demonstrate the candidate’s writing and analytical abilities and be the candidate’s exclusive writing.  An extract from a longer piece is acceptable - candidates should include a brief statement or summary to orient reviewers. 

Submission Method:

Submit as an attachment (one PDF containing both documents) via email to Joanna.Stroud@usdoj.gov. 

The email subject line should read:  SLIP (Summer 2025) - Last Name, First Name
