Online Hate: Panel Discussion at the Civil Rights Division’s Program, Confronting Hate

Panel discussion about online hate and harassment moderated by Julia Gegenheimer, Special Litigation Counsel, Criminal Section, Civil Rights Division.  The panel of experts includes Dr. Mary Anne Franks, President of the Cyber Rights Initiative at the University of Miami School of Law; Mary B. McCord, Executive Director of the Institute for Constitutional Advocacy and Protection at Georgetown University Law Center; Kiah Morris, Movement Politics Director of the Rights and Democracy Project; and Dave L. Sifry, Vice President of the Center for Technology and Society at the ADL.  The panelists discuss the problem of hate-based harassment online, including on social media.
