Former USPS Employee Sentenced for Theft of Mail

NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANALEON TINSON, age 59, of New Orleans, Louisiana was sentenced on July 19, 2023, by U.S. District Judge Sarah S. Vance to two years of probation and a $100 mandatory special assessment fee for theft of mail, announced U.S. Attorney Duane A. Evans.

This case was investigated by the United States Postal Inspection Service, Office of the Inspector General. Assistant United States Attorney David Berman of the Violent Crimes Unit handled the prosecution.
