Carrollton, Texas, Man Pleads Guilty To Conspiracy To Commit Wire Fraud

MUSKOGEE, OKLAHOMA – The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced that Iduar Acosta Fernandez, age 29, of Carrollton, Texas, pled guilty to Conspiracy To Commit Wire Fraud, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 1349, punishable by not more than 30 years imprisonment, up to a $1,000,000.00 fine, or both.  
                
The Indictment alleged that In or about November 2017, to on or about March 27, 2018, in the Eastern District of Oklahoma and elsewhere, the defendant, knowingly and willfully combined, conspired, confederated and agreed with other persons, known and unknown to the Grand Jury, to commit an offense of Wire Fraud. 

The charges arose from an investigation by the Lighthorse Police Department and the United States Secret Service.  

The Honorable Steven P. Shreder, U.S. Magistrate Judge in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, in Muskogee, accepted the plea and ordered the completion of a presentence investigation report. 

Assistant United States Attorney Shannon Henson represented the United States.
