Foreign National Sentenced For Unlawful Reentry

MUSKOGEE, OKLAHOMA – The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced that Salvador Madrigal-Sanchez, a/k/a Salvador Madrigal Sanchez, a/k/a Jose Martinez Sanchez, a/k/a Jose Sanchez Martinez, age, 73, of Mexico, was sentenced to 36 months in prison for one count of Unlawful Reentry of Removed Alien.

The charge arose from an investigation by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement Division, the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics, and the Hughes County Sheriff’s Office.

On May 3, 2024, Madrigal-Sanchez pleaded guilty to the charge.  According to investigators, on October 3, 2023, Madrigal-Sanchez, an alien, was found in the United States after having been previously deported and removed on four prior occasions.

The Honorable Ronald A. White, Chief U.S. District Judge in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, presided over the hearing.  Madrigal-Sanchez will remain in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service pending transportation to a designated United States Bureau of Prisons facility to serve a non-paroleable sentence of incarceration.
