LeFlore County Resident Sentenced For Distribution Of Fentanyl

MUSKOGEE, OKLAHOMA – The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced that Joe Soriano III, age 55, of Poteau, Oklahoma, was sentenced to 10 months in prison for two counts of Distribution of Fentanyl.
The charges arose from an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics, and the District 16 Drug Task Force.
On February 6, 2024, Soriano pleaded guilty to the charges. According to investigators, on January 5, 2023, and January 12, 2023, Soriano was captured on video selling a total of 50 pills containing Fentanyl, a Schedule II controlled substance.
The Honorable Ronald A. White, Chief District Judge in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, presided over the hearing. Soriano will remain in the custody of the U.S. Marshal pending transportation to a designated United States Bureau of Prisons facility to serve a non-paroleable sentence of incarceration.
