Law Enforcement Partners Announce Human Trafficking Initiative

Acting U.S. Attorney A. Lee Bentley, III joined federal, state, and local partners to announce a joint effort to educate parents about the importance of Internet safety. The statewide campaign aims to combat the recruitment of children by sex traffickers via the Internet and other means. As part of the Department’s Project Safe Childhood nationwide initiative, the USAO/MDFL participates in various task forces aimed at identifying, investigating and prosecuting those who sexually exploit children.
