On October 1st, approximately 40 residents and partners in the Tampa-Belmont Heights Neighborhood braved late evening weather to come together, share resources, and engage on how to keep their community safe. In addition to discussions about combatting dangerous drugs, organizations shared resources on how to prevent and protect seniors from fraud. In an effort to reduce gun violence, USAO Community Outreach Specialist Khalilah Escalera shared conflict resolution and self-improvement strategies to neighborhood youth and administered the National Gun Pledge.
