2025 Youth Summit “Unleashing You”

Community Outreach Coordinator Khalilah Escalera participated in the annual “Unleashing You” Youth Summit coordinated by the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice Office of Prevention Services in Orlando. More than 450 teens, chaperones, and community representatives were in attendance for a day of educational workshops, general sessions, and engagement with community partners. Information was shared about the Department and USAO-MDFL priorities including discussions on Human Trafficking, Online Safety, Drug Awareness & Prevention, Gun & Gang Violence Prevention Strategies. Participants also signed and participated in the National Pledge Against Gun Violence.
