This week, Community Outreach Specialist Khalilah Escalera participated in the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office's Protect and Serve Seniors Summit. Sheriff Rick Staly welcomed more than 150 participants to the inaugural event, accompanied by Commander Mike Lutz who organized several presentations about computer safety scams, fraud, and county health resources. COS Escalera shared information about the USAO-MDFL’s Elder Justice Initiative and provided handout materials on “Slam the Scam” and information about imposter scams and reporting methods.
