Improving Investigations Training Course - Ocala
The U.S. Attorney’s Office, in partnership with the National Resource and Technical Assistance Center for Improving Law Enforcement Investigations (NRTAC), recently presented a full-day training class for law enforcement officers and investigators in Ocala. This course, hosted by College of Central Florida, provided best practices designed to improve attendees’ performance skills and outcomes during all phases of a criminal investigation, through successful prosecution.
Training topics included evidence collection; forensic analyses; case management and reconstruction; legal issues and considerations; emerging technologies; and community engagement. Presenters included NRTAC instructor Andrew Vallee of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and Assistant U.S. Attorney Robert Bodnar.
