Criminal Case DocumentsCourt EventsAdditional ResourcesContact Information

Katrenia Harris represented herself as an authorized insurance agent for a major automobile insurance carrier and sold false insurance policies to unsuspecting clients between 2017 and 2023. A grand jury returned a five-count indictment charging Harris with wire fraud, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1343. An indictment is merely a formal charge that a defendant has committed one or more violations of federal criminal law, and every defendant is presumed innocent unless, and until, proven guilty.

Known victims of the charged offenses have received separate notice of their rights under the Crime Victims’ Rights Act of 2004, codified at 18 U.S.C. § 3771. These rights apply only to victims of the counts charged in federal court.
While our office cannot act as your attorney or provide you with legal advice, you can seek the advice of an attorney with respect to the rights above or other related legal matters.

If you believe you are a victim of these offenses, please contact the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Tampa Division, at KHInsuranceVictims@fbi.gov.
