Community Outreach
The U.S. Attorney's Office is involved in community outreach efforts across the Northern District of Alabama. Our office maintains regular visibility in the community and is available to speak and participate at local events and meetings. These efforts are intended to continue the relationship between law enforcement and local community organizations and to provide education concerning the federal laws that affect them.
The United States Attorney's Office regularly provides speakers to interested audiences to discuss the various functions of the United States Attorney's Office and the Department of Justice. Examples of presentation topics include:
- Structure and Operation of the U.S. Attorney's Office
- Outreach and Education to Schools and Students
- Law Enforcement Trainings (e.g. warrants, search and seizure procedures, etc.)
- Child Pornography and the Internet (Project Safe Childhood)

- Narcotics: Prevention and Prosecution

Please submit requests for speakers at least 30 days before the planned event. Unfortunately, not all requests can be accommodated.
