Northern District of Alabama Discovery Center

The Northern District of Alabama Discovery Center manages the discovery process for all criminal cases in the district, from intake to production. 

CASE MATERIALS INTAKE

Case agents must submit case materials to their case team through the Discovery Center. Materials are accepted several ways:

• via email at usaaln.discovery@usdoj.gov
• via USAFx in a box created by the Discovery Center and shared with the case agent
• via Axon Justice 

Discovery submissions should include a completed Discovery Receipt: 

All materials submitted to the Discovery Center must be organized and in an electronic format. Refer to the checklists for submitted cases below prior to submissions to the case team:

DISCOVERY PRODUCTIONS

Discovery productions to defense counsel are also managed by the Discovery Center. Almost all productions occur via USAFx, if size permits. Otherwise, defense counsel must provide a hard drive or external media to receive a copy of the discovery.
