Routine Traffic Stop Yields 50 Pounds of Cocaine

TULSA, Okla. – A routine traffic stop in Tulsa County resulted in the arrest of two New York men after deputies found about 50 pounds of cocaine and bundles of cash inside their rental van.

According to court documents, Rohan Oriley Roye, 34, of New York City, and Andrew Joseph Hudson, 36, of New Rochelle, New York, were taken into custody on September 15, 2026. Roye and Hudson are charged with Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute after a deputy with the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a van failing to maintain its lane. The driver identified himself as Rohan Roye and presented a New York driver’s license to the deputy. While speaking with Roye, the deputy observed an additional adult male, later identified as Hudson, lying on a mattress in the back of the van. 

During the traffic stop, a Tulsa Police K9 conducted an open-air sniff of the van's exterior. The K9 alerted its handler several times. During a search of the van, deputies found a large duffle bag that Hudson was using as a pillow.  Inside the duffle bag were six tightly wrapped “bricks”, consistent with packaging used to transport narcotics. Deputies additionally found rubber-banded bundles of cash and contacted an agent with the DEA. Court documents show that a field test showed positive results for cocaine HCL. The package weight of the cocaine was approximately 50 pounds, with a street value up to $650,000.

The Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office has Task Force Officers who collaborate with the Drug Enforcement Administration Tulsa Resident Office and assist with HSTF operations, as needed. This case was investigated by the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the Tulsa Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration Tulsa Resident Office. Assistant U.S. Attorney David Nasar is prosecuting the case.

An indictment is merely an allegation. The defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
