Queens Man Pleads Guilty to Trafficking Kilograms of Methamphetamine, Fentanyl, and Heroin

NEWARK, N.J. – A resident of Queens Village, New York admitted to distributing and possessing with intent to distribute a significant amount methamphetamine, fentanyl, and heroin, U.S. Attorney Alina Habba announced.
Donovan Elliot, 61, pleaded guilty to an Information charging him with possession with intent to distribute controlled substances before U.S. District Judge Claire C. Cecchi in Newark federal court.
According to documents filed in this case and statements made in court:
In connection with an investigation into Elliot’s drug trafficking activities, law enforcement agents with U.S. Department of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) observed Elliot conduct narcotics sales involving significant amounts of methamphetamine, fentanyl, and fentanyl-laced heroin. Law enforcement subsequently executed a search warrant at Elliot’s home and recovered a considerable quantity of methamphetamine, as well as a firearm and ammunition. In total, Elliot’s offense involved over three kilograms of methamphetamine, nearly 500 grams of fentanyl-laced heroin, and over 260 grams of fentanyl.
The charge in the Information to which Elliot pleaded guilty carries a maximum penalty of 20 years’ imprisonment and a fine of up to $1,000,000. Sentencing is scheduled for September 16, 2025.
U.S. Attorney Habba credited special agents of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Newark, under the direction of Special Agent in Charge Ricky J. Patel.
