In recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month and National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, the Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division and Office on Violence Against Women held a virtual program on “Access to Justice for Survivors of Sexual Harassment, Assault, and Misconduct.” The event featured remarks from Deputy Attorney General, Lisa A. Monaco, Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights, Kristen Clarke, and Acting Director of the Office on Violence Against Women, Allison Randall, and presentations about the Justice Department’s federal civil and criminal enforcement authorities to address sexual misconduct. Presenters discussed current initiatives at the Justice Department and its federal partners that seek to expand access to services, promote healing, and secure justice for survivors of sexual harassment, assault, and misconduct. The event also featured remarks from community advocates.
