Community Outreach – Camp Triumph, Session One

On June 12th, the U.S. Attorney’s Office and its law enforcement, National Guard and social service partners kicked off the 2017 Camp Triumph Summer Youth Prevention Program. Camp Triumph is a youth drug, gang and gun violence prevention effort that began 20 years ago and originally operated under the U.S. Attorney’s Office’s Project Safe Neighborhoods program in Bernalillo County, but is now sponsored by the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office, and Isleta Police Department. The first session took place at Rio Grande High School in Albuquerque, from June 12-15th, 2017. USAO and DEA representatives provided a HOPE Initiative presentation to the campers on June 15th, 2017. Acting U.S. Attorney James D. Tierney represented the U.S. Attorney’s Office during the “graduation” ceremony.
