HOPE Initiative – Prevention and Education – OMI

Supervisory AUSA Meyers, AUSA Torgoley and OCDETF Paralegal Specialist  Lindsey met with Dr. Kurt Nolte, Chief Medical Examiner at the Office of the Medical Investigator (OMI), in support of the HOPE Initiative. They discussed strategies for developing a grant proposal to fund the development and implementation of a program at OMI to use information obtained during overdose death investigations to assist in addressing the District’s heroin and opioid crisis.
