Indian Country – Law Enforcement Coordination

Supervisory AUSA Kyle Nayback and AUSA/Tribal Liaison David Adams presented two training sessions on Indian Country jurisdiction to more than 50 state, county and tribal officers at the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office. The training was presented at the request of the Sheriff to address confusion over jurisdiction of tribal officers which has led to tensions between tribal officers and county officers.
