Outreach and Recruitment-- National Bar Association

The U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of New Mexico assisted the Office of Attorney Recruitment and Management to recruit attorneys to the Department of Justice at the 91st Annual Convention for the National Bar Association (NBA) in St. Louis, MO.  The USAO spoke to law students, attorneys, and Deans of law schools. The NBA, is a bar organization that has historically been comprised of African American attorneys. Much of the work of the NBA is focused on supporting African American attorneys and ensuring there is a voice for African American communities. It was founded in 1924 after several founding members were denied membership from the American Bar Association.
