Section 1071 contains no exception for familial relationships between the harborer and the fugitive. The courts have unanimously refused to recognize such an exception. See, e.g., United States v. Pittman, 527 F.2d 444 (4th Cir. 1975), cert. denied, 424 U.S. 923 (1976) (wife harbored husband); Blankenship v. United States, 328 F.2d 19 (5th Cir. 1964) (brother harbored brother); United States v. Graham, 487 F. Supp. 1317 (W.D.Ky. 1980) (father harbored son); United States v. Oley, 21 F. Supp. 281 (E.D.N.Y. 1937) (wives harbored husbands).
