SERVICE OF PROCESS DURING COVID-19
Due to public health concerns related to COVID-19 and closure of the courthouses in which our offices are located, our office cannot currently accept service of process by personal delivery or by certified mail. Consequently, until further notice, complaints and summonses should be served on this office by registered mail, addressed as provided in Rule 4 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
Do not elect the optional requirement of a signature by the mail recipient upon delivery, as none can be provided at this time.
Rule 4 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure also requires service on the Attorney General and, in certain circumstances, on an agency, officer, or employee of the United States. This notice does not alter those requirements.
