2025 Osceola County Junior Achievement INSPIRE Career Expo
The U.S. Attorney's Office, joined by representatives from U.S. Probation and the U.S. Marshals Service - Orlando Division, participated in the Osceola County Junior Achievement INSPIRE Expo. The group represented Law and Government partners focused on introducing middle school students to a variety of criminal justice and government careers.
At our station, students learned about careers at the Department of Justice, U.S. Attorney’s Office, U.S. Courts, and the U.S. Marshals Service. Participants included: Community Outreach Specialist Khalilah Escalera and AUSA Courtney Richardson-Jones from the USAO-MDFL, Karina Ortiz, Doris Bello, and Tennille Losch from U.S. Probation, Deputy U.S. Marshal Steven Hawthorn and Deputy U.S. Marshal Candidate Christopher Sommers from the U.S. Marshals Service.
Attendees also learned how each agency works collaboratively to enforce the law and keep the public safe. Students engaged in discussions about preventing violent crime in our communities and signed the student National Pledge Against Gun Violence.
Additional agencies included the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, Orange County Fire Rescue, the Florida National Guard - Counterdrug Program, Valencia College School of Public Safety, Advent Health, and many others. More than 3,000 8th grade students and staff from Osceola County schools participated.
