Schenectady Man Pleads Guilty to Gun and Drug Offenses

ALBANY, NEW YORK – Anthony Sindoni, age 37, of Schenectady, New York, pled guilty today to possessing three firearms in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, fentanyl, heroin, and cocaine.

United States Attorney John A. Sarcone III and Special Agent in Charge Frank A. Tarentino III, U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), New York Field Division, made the announcement.

Sindoni admitted to possessing a Keltec P-32 .32 caliber pistol, a Polymer 80 PF940C 9mm pistol, and a Mossberg 20-gauge pump shotgun in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime. Sindoni also admitted to possessing with intent to distribute over 754 grams of methamphetamine, 520 grams of fentanyl, 454 grams of cocaine, and 17 grams of heroin.

Sindoni faces a prison term of at least 15 years and up to life, a fine of up to $10 million, and a supervised release term of at least 5 years and up to life. A defendant’s sentence is imposed by a judge based on the particular statutes the defendant is charged with violating, the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines, and other factors.

DEA is investigating the case with assistance from the Schenectady Police Department and the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF). Assistant U.S. Attorney Matthew Paulbeck is prosecuting the case.
