For Immediate Release
U.S. Attorney's Office, District of Nebraska

United States Attorney Susan Lehr announced that Tremain Monroe, age 30, of Norfolk, Nebraska, was sentenced October 23, 20224 in federal court in Omaha, Nebraska for conspiracy to distribute and possession with intent to distribute fentanyl. United States District Judge Brian C. Buescher sentenced Monroe to 210 months’ imprisonment. There is no parole in the federal system. After Monroe is released from prison, he will begin a 3-year term of supervised release.  Monroe will also forfeit $4,200.00 in United States currency and a 2019 Dodge Ram truck to the United States as drug proceeds.

On March 28, 2023, Monroe was involved in providing fentanyl to a victim who overdosed but was revived by Narcan.  Law enforcement then purchased M-30 fentanyl pills from Monroe on two separate occasions in April 2023.

On May 3, 2023, law enforcement executed a search warrant on Monroe’s residence.  Law enforcement seized 221 fentanyl pills, drug paraphernalia, and over 5 pounds of methamphetamine.  Monroe admitted to using and selling fentanyl pills and was aware of the methamphetamine. Law enforcement also located $4,200 in U.S. currency and the 2019 Dodge Ram truck was also used to facilitate Monroe’s narcotics dealings.

This case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration.
