New Mexico Collaborative Human Trafficking Task Force

The New Mexico Collaborative Human Trafficking Task Force (NMCHTTF), housed within the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of New Mexico, has been established in partnership with agencies and organizations across the state with longstanding experience responding to human trafficking.

The task force’s mission is to prevent trafficking, protect victims, and prosecute offenders by fostering trust, sharing resources, and promoting a trauma‑informed, survivor‑centered approach that upholds justice and restores dignity throughout New Mexico.  It brings together law enforcement, prosecutors, service providers, and advocacy organizations from urban and rural communities, border regions, tribal lands, and remote areas, reflecting the reality that trafficking occurs in every part of the state and does not conform to jurisdictional boundaries.

By connecting local, state, tribal, federal, and nonprofit partners, the NMCHTTF provides a framework for sharing information, aligning resources, strengthening investigations, and promoting consistent, trauma‑informed responses to human trafficking across New Mexico.
