U.S. Attorney's Office Secures Sentencing for Production of Child Sexual Abuse Material

ALBUQUERQUE – A Lordsburg man was sentenced to 30 years in prison for producing child pornography.
There is no parole in the federal system.
According to court documents, between July 1, 2022, and September 18, 2022, Keith Joseph Medina, 38, recorded at least four videos of himself performing sexual acts on a minor victim at his residence in Lordsburg.
Upon his release from prison, Medina will be subject to twenty years of supervised release and must register as a sex offender. Medina was also ordered to pay $3,000 in restitution to his victims.
Acting U.S. Attorney Holland S. Kastrin and Raul Bujanda, Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Albuquerque Field Office, made the announcement today.
The Las Cruces Resident Agency of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Albuquerque Field Office investigated this case with assistance from Lordsburg Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Marisa Ong and Jackson K. Dering V prosecuted this case as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice. Led by U.S. Attorneys' Offices and CEOS, Project Safe Childhood marshals federal, state, and local resources to better locate, apprehend and prosecute individuals who exploit children via the Internet, as well as to identify and rescue victims.
