Paralegal Specialist
Paralegal specialists provide administrative and legal support to the United States Trustee (UST), Assistant United States Trustee (AUST), trial attorneys, and other personnel. On a daily basis, paralegals may review bankruptcy proceedings to identify fraud, prepare documents or exhibits, conduct research, draft pleadings, and more. Auditor
Auditors support the litigation and civil enforcement efforts of the USTP through financial analysis and investigative work. On a daily basis, auditors utilize their accounting expertise to assist trial attorneys with chapter 7 and 11 bankruptcy cases. Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) Program
The USTP utilizes OPM’s highly competitive Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) Program to identify graduate students to fill positions at the GS-9 through GS-11 level. Fellows embark on a two-year assignment with the USTP, which includes extensive training and a four-to-six-month developmental detail, with the option of converting to a permanent position upon completion of the program.
