The United States Trustee Program (USTP) offers a variety of legal and non-legal opportunities for students in Washington, DC and across the country. Interns with the USTP learn about the intricacies of bankruptcy law while providing legal, financial, or administrative support to the Program. 


Legal Internships

Legal Internships with the USTP are an excellent opportunity for law students with a background and interest in bankruptcy, policymaking, administrative law, and legislative matters to gain professional experience while helping to fortify United States bankruptcy law. Positions are available in the Executive Office for United States Trustees (EOUST) and many of the Program’s field offices throughout the country.

Non-Legal Internships

Non-Legal Internships with the USTP provide undergraduate and recent graduates an opportunity to gain experience in their fields while helping to fortify United States bankruptcy law. The USTP currently offers paralegal, analyst/auditor, program analyst, and graphic illustrator internships. Positions are available in the Executive Office for United States Trustees (EOUST) and many of the Program’s field offices throughout the country.
