MOR/PCR Troubleshooting Tips

Before beginning any troubleshooting, please ensure you are using the latest version of the form by checking the date in the form footer against the form date on the web site. Forms with older dates will not generate PDFs correctly.

  1. Why am I receiving a “Please wait…” message when using the form? Answer: The form must be downloaded and run outside of the web browser in a program like Adobe Reader. For more information see the Download Guide posted on the web site.
  2. Why do I still have a watermark and buttons after filling out and generating the form? Answer: The “Generate PDF for Court Filing and Remove Watermark” button will prompt to save the watermark editable version before the form will generate the court filing version. The court filing version will need to be saved after it has been generated and before exiting.    Below is a quick summary of the steps to follow to generate the form for court filing. For more information see the one page document here on how to do this.
    • Fill out the form and click the “Generate PDF for Court Filing and Remove Watermark” button. Any errors will be highlighted in red and will need to be corrected. After correcting any errors click on the “Generate PDF for Court Filing and Remove Watermark” button again.
    • When prompted, save a copy of the form. Note, this will not be the copy to file with the court. It is to ensure any data typed into the form will not be lost and can still be edited if need be.
    • After processing is complete, the Court Filing version of the form will appear without watermarks, buttons or the ability to edit data.
    • Save the Court Filing version before closing and exiting. This will be the version to file with the Court.
  3. What are the minimum system requirements?
    • The forms can be downloaded via a web browser, such as Internet Explorer, Chrome, Edge, Safari, or Firefox.
    • In order to open the forms and enter data, Adobe Reader Version 10.0 or higher is required (available to download for free from Adobe's Web site). Adobe Acrobat is also compatible.
    • Minimum processing and memory requirements are determined by what is necessary to support your configuration of the above products.
    • Windows Operating System or the latest macOS if using the Mac version of the form.
  4. How do I fix the error saying "Error: Nothing Done" when I try to generate a PCR for Court Filing?
    • Make sure you are using the latest form.
    • Add a hard return (Press the "Enter" key) at the end of the address you entered in the signature block at the bottom of page 1 of the form.
  5. Will clicking "Generate PDF for Court Filing and Remove Watermark" submit the PDF to the court?
    • No, the PDF must still be filed via the normal method in CM/ECF.
  6. I'm preparing the form on a Mac, and I get the error "An error occurred during the submit process. There was a problem connecting to the server" when I click the Generate PDF for Court Filing and Remove Watermark button, what should I do?
    • Download the macOS version of the MOR or PCR forms.
    • Fill it out and generate a court filing version as you normally would.
  7. Why are blank rows and barcodes added to the MOR or PCR forms?
    • The MOR and PCR are now equipped with standard barcode technology. When users generate a form for filing and remove the watermark, they should expect to see barcodes added to the backend of each form, and the addition of up to 100 rows on each of the professional fee tables. These items are expected and indicate that the forms have been generated correctly. Users must file the barcodes and blank row pages with the MOR and PCR forms.
  8. Why am I getting the error "Error: Nothing Done. Error Code - Unknown Format" or "An error occurred during the submit process. Cannot process content of type ."?
    • This error occurs if you are using the June 7th version of the MOR/PCR form, which is no longer supported. Please download the latest version of the respective form you are attempting to submit.
