Requesting a Copy of a Section 341 Meeting of Creditors Audio Recording

The procedures to obtain an audio file versus a transcription of the 341 Meeting are different.

  1. Request for audio file of a 341 Meeting

Please email your request to ustp.region19@usdoj.gov with the subject line “Request for 341 Meeting Audio.”  Include the following required information in the body of the email:

    • Your Name
    • Bankruptcy Case No. (e.g., 12-34567-ABC)
    • Trustee (if known)
    • Date of 341 Meeting (if known)
    • Phone Number (cell or direct line)

The office will attempt to send the audio file as an attachment to the email (within 1-2 business days). If the file size is too large to attach to the email, the office will notify you and request you select one of the following options:

    • Secure electronic file sharing using the Box cloud-based content management platform (“Box”). This option requires you to have an existing account or create a free account with Box.com (1-2 business days from confirming this option).
    • Compact Disk (“CD”) sent by mail. You will need to provide the Denver U.S. Trustee’s office with a self-addressed stamped envelope to return the recording copy on the CD to you, unless other return delivery is noted. This office is not responsible for returns for insufficient postage (up to 1 week from the date the postage is received).
  2. Request for transcription of a 341 Meeting

Our office does not transcribe the audio recordings but instead will coordinate with the legal transcriber of your choosing. Please reach out to a legal transcriber who will then contact our office to request the audio for transcription. Although you are not required to use a court “Approved Transcriber,” the Colorado Bankruptcy Court’s website provides a list of “Approved Transcribers” as potential options. You will be responsible for any fees charged by the transcriber which are to be paid directly to your transcriber.
