1611. Federal Investigative And Prosecutive Jurisdiction -- 18 U.S.C. 351 -- Effect On State And Local Authority

When and if Federal investigative or prosecutive jurisdiction is asserted, subsection (f) suspends State or local jurisdiction in cases of possible violation of 18 U.S.C. § 351 until all Federal action is terminated. This subsection does not, however, prevent the states from cooperating with Federal authorities in an investigation of violations of the act. See 18 U.S.C. § 351(g).
