Padilla Case Victim Notification by Publication
On November 13, 2025, Lorena Padilla, Selina Preciado, Melanie Medina, Janine Garcia, Carlos Padilla, and Pablo Araque (the “defendants”) were charged in the Central District of California, via indictment, with various criminal violations. The indictment alleges that Lorena Padilla owned and operated four temporary staffing companies: Platinum Staffing, Payroll Staffing Solutions, Three Star Global, and Next Level Staffing (“Padilla’s Staffing Companies”) between 2012 and at least 2024. The indictment further alleges the defendants defrauded clients of Padilla’s Staffing Companies by falsely representing that the companies provided valid worker’s compensation insurance for temporary workers staffed with clients, and that the companies paid all applicable payroll taxes for those workers, when the defendants did not, in fact, do so.
