Gary Man Sentenced to 151 Months in Prison

HAMMOND – Vincent Wilson, 48 years old, of Gary, Indiana, was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge James T. Moody after pleading guilty to the distribution of cocaine base, announced U.S. Attorney Kirsch.

According to documents in the case, between March 16, 2017 and April 11, 2017, law enforcement officers conducted four controlled purchases of cocaine base, otherwise known as “crack cocaine,” from Vincent Wilson.  On March 20, 2018, law enforcement executed a search warrant on Wilson’s residence at 411 West 23^rd Avenue in Gary, Indiana and recovered crack cocaine from his bedroom.  Wilson was previously convicted of possession of cocaine, two counts of attempted murder, and felony battery. 

This case was investigated by ATF, Gary Police Department and prosecuted by Special Assistant United States Attorney Armando Salinas.
