SCAM ALERT

We have been advised that scammers are using social media accounts having U.S. Attorney Johnson’s name in a scam seeking personal information and money.  The Scammers have used at least Facebook, Facebook Messenger, and WhatsApp to contact individuals, typically seniors.  The scammers claim that U.S. Attorney Johnson is providing monetary grants to individuals as part of a government program.   They seek personal information for the “application” and subsequently ask for money.  After making contact via social media, they may also provide a phone number.
