BUFFALO, N.Y. - U.S. Attorney James P. Kennedy, Jr. announced today that Kevin Hinca, 28, of Lancaster, NY, who was convicted of conspiracy to distribute heroin, was sentenced to serve 32 months in prison by U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Charles J. Volkert, Jr., who handled the case, stated that between December 2015 and June 2016, the defendant conspired with others to distribute heroin in the Western District of New York. Hinca was identified as a heroin dealer during a 2016 DEA investigation into a larger drug-trafficking network operating in the Buffalo area.

The sentencing is the result of an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration, under the direction of Special Agent-in-Charge Ray Donovan.
