Daniel A. Crane

Dan Crane is associate professor of law at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Yeshiva University, and counsel at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP. He received his B.A. magna cum laude from Wheaton College (Illinois) and his J.D. with honors from the University of Chicago, where he was a member of the University Chicago Law Review. Following law school, he clerked for the Hon. Kenneth L. Ryskamp (S.D. Fla.) and practiced for two years with Morgan, Lewis & Bockius in Miami. In 1999, he became an associate with Paul, Weiss concentrating in litigation and antitrust. He has been at Cardozo since 2003.

Professor Crane's primary scholarship is in antitrust and law and economics. He has published articles and essays in the University of Chicago, Cornell, Florida, Minnesota, Emory, Washington & Lee, and Georgia law reviews among others. Much of his recent scholarship has focused on pricing and discounting practices by dominant firms. He is the co-editor (with Eleanor Fox) of ANTITRUST STORIES (Foundation Press, forthcoming 2007), a collection of chapters by leading antitrust authorities on significant antitrust cases.
