Robin Cooper Feldman Biography

Professor Feldman is Associate Professor of Law at U.C. Hastings College of the Law. She specializes in law and bioscience and is Director of Hastings' Law and Bioscience Project (L.A.B.). Professor Feldman also serves on the Executive Committee of the Antitrust Section of the American Association of Law Schools.

Professor Feldman's publications include "Defensive Leveraging in Antitrust, 87 Georgetown L.J. 2079 (1999); "The Insufficiency of Antitrust Analysis for Patent Misuse," 55 Hastings L.J. 399 (2003); "The Open Source Biotechnology Movement: Is It Patent Misuse?," 6 Minn J.L. Science & Tech (2004); "Rethinking Rights in Biospace," 79 S. Cal. L. Rev. 1 (2005); and "The Inventor's Contribution," 2005 UCLA J.L. & Tech. 6 (2005).

Professor Feldman received a J.D. from Stanford Law School, graduating the Order of the Coif and receiving the Urban A. Sontheimer Award for graduating second in the class. She also served in the Articles Department of the Stanford Law Review and received a Hilmer Oehlmann Jr. Prize. Professor Feldman received her undergraduate degree from Stanford University, graduating Phi Beta Kappa. After graduating from law school, Professor Feldman clerked for The Honorable Joseph Sneed of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
