Event Details
The Antitrust Division invites you to learn about becoming a Statisticians/Research Analyst within the Expert Analysis Group. The presentation begins with a welcome from AAG Jonathan Kanter and provides an overview about antitrust law and the work of the Antitrust Division. Statisticians/Research Analysts work closely with staff economists to define relevant product and geographic markets, determine pricing patterns, provide statistical analysis of industry behavior, find trends in large datasets, and prepare materials and visualizations (such as maps, data, charts, and graphs) that may be required for litigation. Duties may also include assisting staff economists working on articles for publication in economic journals.
The presentation focuses on four Statisticians/Research Analyst who currently work at the Division. In addition to providing details about their own work experiences, the Statisticians/Research Analysts will describe the application process and answer audience questions.
