FTC/DOJ Merger Guidelines Forums
Washington, DC

Event Details
Forum Information
The Department of Justice and Federal Trade Commission (FTC) hosted a series of listening forums to hear from those who had experienced first-hand the effects of mergers and acquisitions beyond the antitrust community—including consumers, workers, entrepreneurs, start-ups, farmers, investors, and independent businesses.
The four forums were held virtually with Assistant Attorney General Jonathan Kanter of the Antitrust Division and FTC Chair Lina M. Khan over three months and elicited views from a wide array of market participants from across the country, supplementing the agencies’ request for comments on merger enforcement guidelines to ensure that the agencies heard a diverse range of views.
The forums were open to the public and webcast on the FTC’s website. They were transcribed for future reference.
