This graph shows the increases in ADSL subscribers and in cable modem subscribers from December 1999 through December 2002 in six month intervals. Cable modem subscriptions have consistently been above ADSL subscriptions and the gap between the two widened over the period in question. In December 1999, cable modem subscriptions were still under 2 million, and ADSL subscriptions under 1 million. By December 2002, cable modem subscriptions were nearing 12 million, while ADSL subscriptions were nearly 6 million. Return to document |
