WildBlue Communications : Description Of The "Broadband In Iowa" Map Shown On Slide 9

On this map of Iowa, the white areas represent places where cable modem, DSL, and fixed wireless broadband services are not offered. Each of the colored dots represents the presence of a one or more of these services. Fixed wireless services are available in areas around Des Moines, Ames, and Waterloo. Cable modem services are available in Des Moines, Sioux City, Council Bluffs, Iowa City, Cedar Rapids, Dubuque, and Davenport, and a small number of other locations scattered throughout the state. DSL is widely available from independent telcos and, to a lesser extent, from the RBOCs.
