Lewiston Man Sentenced for Drug Trafficking

PORTLAND, Maine: A Lewiston man was sentenced today in U.S. District Court in Portland for distributing controlled substances. 

Chief U.S. District Judge Lance E. Walker sentenced Dashane Seamster, 31, to 10 years in prison to be followed by five years of supervised release. Seamster pleaded guilty on May 8, 2026.

According to court records, beginning in February 2025, a confidential source working with the FBI made several controlled purchases of drugs from Seamster. On April 1, 2025, the confidential source purchased approximately four ounces of methamphetamine and 120 grams of heroin from Seamster in Lewiston. In total, Seamster sold over 150 grams of methamphetamine, over 250 grams of heroin, and over 200 grams of fentanyl to the confidential source. Investigators surveilled and recorded the transactions.

FBI investigated the case with assistance from the Lewiston Police Department.
