What are the Country Pages?

A: The goal of the Country Pages is to provide an accurate, up to date, balanced, and impartial compilation of country condition materials relevant to applications for relief in removal proceedings before Immigration Judges and the Board of Immigration Appeals.

How are the documents compiled?

A: The country information is compiled by the EOIR Law Library and Immigration Research Center (LLIRC). All of the documents used are publicly available. The LLIRC seeks to include documents from reliable, impartial sources. In order to facilitate searches, the documents within each country page have been organized by topic and source.

May materials from the Country Pages be reproduced?

A: For materials subject to copyright, please check with the issuing organization directly.

May parties offer additional documents not included in the Country Pages for adjudicators to consider?

A: Yes. The contents of the Country Pages are not exhaustive; inclusion of materials should not be construed as an endorsement of their contents. Parties may offer, and adjudicators may consider, additional information not included in the country pages.

May members of the public offer comments or suggestions for additional materials?

A: Yes. Please email comments or suggestions to eoir.law.library@usdoj.gov. Please note that permission to use materials is subject to copyright permission from the issuing organization.
