If you are interested in obtaining a position as an Assistant U. S. Attorney in the United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York, send a cover letter, resume and a completed and signed application with all other requested materials in hard copy to William J. Muller,  Executive Assistant United States Attorney, 271 Cadman Plaza East, Brooklyn, N.Y. 11201.  Label envelope Re: Employment. Applications for attorney positions are accepted year-round. When attorney vacancies arise, applications are reviewed to identify qualified candidates and interviews are scheduled. Experience requirements vary according to the needs of the office, but generally at least three years of relevant post-J.D. legal work experience is required.  If hired, applicants are expected to serve in the office for at least three years, although Assistant U. S. Attorneys typically remain in the office for longer terms.
