Programs

The U. S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York is involved in a number of programs and projects in our community. Some of our major efforts are listed below.

Community Outreach

USAO-EDNY regularly participates in opportunities to engage the local community and promote the special initiatives of the Department of Justice. These opportunities often involve public forums, volunteer projects and special appearances. 

Project Safe Neighborhoods

USAO-EDNY administers and promotes the Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) initiative sponsored by the Department of Justice. This program is a commitment to adequately address and reduce gang and gun-related criminal activity.

Victim Witness

USAO-EDNY  is committed to providing support and information to victims and witnesses involved in civil and criminal litigation proceedings in which the United States is a party.
